The reason for banning Park, 40, dates back to last July when he appeared in the hit television drama, [War of Money]. Upon its success, Lee-Kim Production decided to air four more episodes. Park asked for 170 million won ($116,000) per additional episode beyond planned. He appeared in four additional episodes, but the production company could only afford to pay half and Park filed a lawsuit for the rest. The Drama Association reportedly carried out the rather harsh action to remind actors that they were indeed having a hard time together. The top rated actor Park Shin-yang may not be able to appear in any dramas for the time being.

He was said to be dead at 9:40 PM while he fought lung cancer in Seoul University Hospital. Even though Park knew about his illness in March and told fans about this, he still fought it. He kept filming for [Seoul Note] and later on started filming [Who Is This]. Before this, Park Kwang Jung has given us many great roles acted in movies like [Number 3], [Aurora Princess] and dramas [Good Person] and [Say you love me]. And in this year itself, Park Kwang Jung was also one of the casted roles for popular MBC drama [New Heart]. Though, he kept fighting, it seemed that he eventually lost the battle. Park’s funeral was on on December 17.
