The premiere of the movie 'Hero' starring Kimura Takuya was held successfully on the 6th at Tokyo's Budokan.

With all major media reporting the event, many forecasted that the movie would break previous records of "Bayside Breakdown: the Movie 2" at 17.3 billion yen.

This year Korea will be the first Asian country to hold the World's Most Beautiful Lips Awards.

The ceremony has a 26 year history, with Chapstick maker Blistex launching it in 1981. Awards are presented to people with distinguished social achievements and contributions. The fourth Korean Independent Cinema, an annual event aimed at introducing Korean independent films to the Japanese movie market, will open at Image Forum Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo, on Aug. 25 and run until Aug. 31.

Top Korean film company Sidus and U.S.-based broadcasting company ImaginAsian TV signed an agreement for the distribution of Korean entertainment contents in the United States, it was announced on Tuesday.
