Son Dam-bi was crushed when Ahn Jae-wook wouldn't give her a chance.

On the February 6th episode of MBC TV drama Lights and Shadows, Kang Ki-tae (Ahn Jae-wook) was beaten up by the men Jo Tae-soo (Kim Roi-ha) sent after him.

He was saved by Yoo Chae-yeong (Son Dam-bi), who was passing by at that moment in her car. As Ki-tae said the hospital was too dangerous to go, she safely took him to her vacation home in Cheonpyeong and settled the events that happened.

Happily, she went back to Ki-tae and started preparing a meal, saying, "Everything has been taken care of, you just have to care for yourself" but Ki-tae demanded he had to go back to Seoul.

Feeling disappointed, Chae-yeong asked, "Can't you give me just one night? Can't you just give me one night of your entire life?" To a silent Ki-tae she said, "I want to be with you just for one night. I want to be like any other normal couple".

He didn't say anything until the end and Chae-yeong told him, "I'm sorry I'm burdening you" and cried out at the sorrow of not being loved back.
